About Our Gallery Spaces

The Art Center East Galleries are the only international fine art exhibit spaces in Union County. They are community-supported galleries, funded by Art Center East annual memberships and private and state funders. Exhibiting artists of all mediums are juried by the Gallery Committee in order to show their work in the Main or Co-Op Gallery. Exhibits typically run for two months with opening and closing receptions.

The Main Gallery also hosts a selection of annual group exhibits, including:

  • The Big: ACE's Annual Non-Juried Exhibit
  • Eastern Oregon University's Junior Practicum Exhibit
  • Annual Fiber Arts & Jewelry Exhibit

The Co-op Gallery

We are excited to announce that the Co-op gallery will soon feature a new name. We look forward to seeing what you vote for here (coming soon). ACE is rebranding and reimagining this Gallery space to serve the community better. During this time, we wanted to help you as community members honor in memoriam a predominant art supporter in the naming process.

Art Center East Galleries are open Wed-Fri 12-5pm & Sat 10-2pm. All exhibits are free and open to the public.

What to Enter

Art Center East (ACE) invites you to enter your artwork to become a Featured Artist. Artists exhibiting nationally or internationally who are 18+ years old can submit an application for consideration (artists 15-17 years old may submit an application with the guidance of parent/guardian). Artists may submit works in any artistic medium. Please note that ACE will not accept pieces that are older than three years. Have questions about whether your artwork is a good fit for Art Center East? Contact Jennifer Durr: [email protected] (541)624-2800.

Selection Process

Featured Artist exhibitions are determined by a Gallery Committee, comprised of artists working in a variety of mediums, art educators, and collectors, in conjunction with the Executive and Gallery Directors. Submissions are reviewed from digital images of art and referenced by an accompanying inventory list submitted on this form. Submissions are also evaluated on the exhibition description and artist’s statement. The resume helps the committee understand the level of artistic development and commitment of the submitting artist/group. Incomplete applications will not be considered. It is expected the work submitted for the exhibition will be of the same quality, medium, and style as the work submitted in the proposal. Artists who are accepted for a Featured Artist exhibition will have a 2-year interval before their proposals are considered again. Artists are strongly encouraged to keep pricing consistent with websites and other sale sites. The ACE Gallery Committee’s decisions are final. Art Center East will notify applicants of their acceptance status no later than two weeks after submission.
