The 31st annual Arts for All will take place on April 20 & 21 at the Blue Mountain Conference Center in La Grande. Art Center East hosts the event, which includes 25 inspiring and educational art stations in the widest variety of mediums and styles we can fit under one roof. This free event is an inspiring way to celebrate the arts in our community.
Arts for All 2018
April 20 from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
(Please note that this is a quieter day with fewer activity stations intended for community members that would benefit from less sensory stimulation and smaller crowds.)
April 21 from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Arts for All has been a popular event in La Grande for over 30 years. Originally run by the City of La Grande, Art Center East took over coordination and fundraising for the event in 2016.
What is Arts for All?
In 2017, it was:
- 25 Art Activities including Fish Prints, Mask Making, Instrument Petting Zoo, Inuit Soap Carving, Aboriginal Dot Art, as well as plenty of opportunities to paint, sculpt, draw, and CREATE!
- 90 participants on Friday, when we serve children with special needs and their families.
- 400 participants on Saturday, when we serve the entire community.
- 130 volunteers Including our wonderful ACE volunteers & Board of Directors, as well as others from the La Grande Arts Commissioners, the EOU Football team, Wal-Mart staff, Legacy Ford, and many generous community members.
- 1,528 Volunteer Hours We feel the love! Not that it’s all about money, but we’ll put it this way: all together, the monetary value of volunteer hours given for the 2017 Arts for All amounted to $35,250.96!

Be a Volunteer
Arts for All couldn’t happen without an army of volunteers to help us organize & prepare the event’s activities ahead of time, then bring the magic of community art to life during this two day event. Anyone is qualified to be an Arts for All volunteer - no art experience is necessary.
Volunteering with Arts for All is a enriching experience for individuals, families, or groups. As an Arts for All volunteer, you’ll spend your time preparing and/or facilitating simple, engaging art activities. You’ll meet new people, learn new things, witness many expressions of wonder, and create countless smiles. Volunteering with Arts for All as a group allows your club, organization, sports team, or employees to interface with the community in the context of a vibrant and beloved celebration of the arts. Families have been coming to Arts for All for over 30 years because it’s a lot of fun. Come join us!

Arts For All
- Attend an Arts for All Work Party
These gatherings are a casual and fun way to contribute to Arts for All. Our organizer extraordinaire, Stephanie Boudreau, is leading the effort to prepare 25 activities for an estimated 500 participants. She’ll be on hand at all of the work parties to get you settled in a project and keep things running smoothly. All you need to bring is a willing spirit!
Work parties take place at Art Center East (1006 Penn Ave, La Grande). Please RSVP by clicking on the date(s) above, scrolling to the bottom of the page it brings you to, selecting “RSVP,” and entering your information. Repeat for other dates you are planning to attend.
- Save some Supplies
We try to use as many recycled materials as possible when designing Arts for All activities. We need your help to gather enough of them for the event day! Click here to visit our current wishlist, or make a small donation to help us pay for the supplies we need to buy (like markers, construction paper, clay, and paint).

We’ll have a number of activity preparations that can be done on your own schedule, here or at home. We’ll share a running list of help needed in the Volunteer Bulletin - keep an eye out for those or call Art Center East to inquire what Arts for All preparations fit your schedule. 541-624-2800
- Be a part of the Magic
It’s a party, and you’re invited! Setting up and running an event as large as Arts for All requires about 100 volunteers. Contact Sarah West (email@example.com) if you’re interested in volunteering on the day of the event or check back here for a schedule - coming soon!
- Show Your Team Spirit
Volunteering as a team (sports teams, yes, and also clubs, businesses, organizations, or churches) is a great way to interface with the community. Teams can be any size, and we’ll keep you in groups of 3-4 for the duration of the event. No experience needed! All training you need will be provided by ACE staff. If your team would like to find out more about volunteering, please contact Darcy Dolge (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Sarah West (email@example.com).
Feeling ambitious? We are always looking for community partners to host an activity booth. Contact Darcy Dolge (firstname.lastname@example.org) to discuss the activity you have in mind. Once approved, we will provide you with booth space at Arts for All and your team will facilitate an arts-based activity, complete with enough people to staff the booth for the entirety of the event (April 21 only) and adequate supplies to serve 500 participants. You may feature promotional materials at your booth (such as flyers or brochures) and a small sign (no larger than 11”x17”), as long as a minimum of 75% of the table surface remains dedicated to the art activity.

Arts for All is 31 this year! Throughout its evolution, Arts for All has continued to be a free public event because of generous contributions from individuals, organizations and business like you. Help insure Arts for All continues for many years to come with a tax deductible monetary donation.

Arts For All
Be an Event Sponsor
When you, your business, or an organization you are a part of sponsors Arts for All, you communicate dedication to the community, to youth, and to the potential of what our region can become through the arts. We have sponsorship levels for all budgets. If you have interest in sponsoring Arts for All 2018, please contact Darcy Dolge, email@example.com.
Individual Sponsor - $100
Individual sponsors are recognized on the Arts for All Passport (handed out to each event participant) and on the Arts for All Webpage. Donations at this level support various costs related to Arts for All, such as office supplies needed for the event, beverages & snacks for the volunteers, and miscellaneous art supplies.
Activity Station Sponsor - $250 (Limit 25 per year)
An Activity Station Sponsorship covers the cost of all supplies for one of the events 25 activity stations. Each activity requires enough supplies to serve up to 500 participants. Activity Station Sponsors are named with a “sponsored by” credit on the activity station sign their contribution is sponsoring, as well as mention on the Arts for All Passport (handed out to each participant) and the Arts for All webpage.
Business Sponsor: $300 -$500
Business Sponsors help fund our year-round Arts for All outreach program. We provide free art activities every other week at the La Grande Farmers Market, as well as annual events such as the Ladd Marsh Bird Festival and the Festival of Trees Family Fun Day. Business Sponsors are recognized with their logo on the event poster, as well as mention on the Arts for All Passport (handed out to each participant) and the Arts for All webpage.
Marketing Sponsor: $500 - $1000
We market Arts for All widely throughout the community, including printing lots of flyers and posters, taking out newspaper and radio advertisements, promoting posts on social media, and printing materials to hand out at the event itself. Marketing Sponsors help us cover the costs. Marketing Sponsors are recognized with their logo appearing on the Arts for All posters and free activity totes (distributed at the event), as well as mention on the Arts for All Passports (handed out to each participant) and the Arts for All webpage.
Event Sponsor - $2500 - $5,000 (Limit one per year)
Be the headliner of Arts for All! Event sponsors appear prominently on all Arts for All promotional materials, including posters, flyers, newspaper ads, activity totes and Arts for All Passports handed out to participants, as well as via our digital and social media marketing avenues. Everywhere Arts for All goes, your name goes, too. The Event Sponsor helps us cover the cost of venue rental ($1600+), art supplies, administrative costs, and everything else.
