“all tangled up”, an exhibit in ACE’s Main Gallery showcases works by Bend, Oregon, artist Sophia Aimone. Community members of all ages are invited to attend a free opening reception on Friday, May 3, 2024, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. “all tangled up” is on display May 3 – June 29, 2024.
Working primarily with latex and watercolor paints, Aimone explores the “interconnectedness of humans through anthropomorphized characters”. These squiggle-like characters roam and entangle themselves with childlike curiosity while creating an awkward, yet beautiful mess of connections. Aimone encourages viewers to look closely and decipher what types of conversations these characters might be having with each other.
Raffle tickets for an original piece by Aimone will be available for purchase in person at ACE and online beginning Friday, May 3 at 6:00 p.m. Raffle tickets may be purchased through June 29; all proceeds benefit the ACE Gallery Program. The raffle winner will be announced after June 29, 2024.
The public is invited to attend a free closing reception for the “all tangled up” exhibit on Friday, June 28, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Registration cancellations & transfers must be made through Art Center East at (541) 624-2800 48 hours or more before the class start time. We cannot issue refunds or transfers for cancellations received after the 48-hour cutoff. Exceptions will be considered for medical or family emergencies. ACE will honor a refund, minus a $10 administration fee when the cancellation is made 48 hours or more before class start date. When a class is canceled due to low enrollment, we will issue a refund for all registration fees. ACE will contact you in the event of a cancellation. Face coverings will be required in accordance with statewide regulations current at the time.
