Alla Prima Portrait Painting Workshop
October 28, 2017 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
An event every day that begins at 9:00 am, repeating until October 29, 2017
Create eye-catching portraits with a big brush! Paint a portrait study from a live model in just two days using a time-tested approach. Working with a limited palette of just four colors, students will learn: how to effectively block-in thier painting, simplified anatomy and head construction, animating the pose, keys to capturing a likeness, and how to accurately observe value and color relationships on the canvas. This fluid painting style uses lots of paint, bold brush strokes, and can help open up your approach to painting all kinds of subjects. Plus, it’s a lot of fun!
