Viewers of “Arboreality” can expect a combination of visual art and poetry that celebrates and explores trees and forests. Included is work from some of the greatest national and Northwest contemporary poets, including Gary Snyder, W.S. Merwin, Alison Hawthorne Deming, Ross Gay, Michael McClure, Jane Hirshfield, Forrest Gander, Raymond Carver, Carolyn Kizer, John Daniel, Juan Felipe Herrera, and others. Classic and recent books about trees, available to leaf through, will be interspersed among the broadsides.
Raffle tickets for three broadsides, “No Wind, No Rain” by Jane Hirshfield, “Post-fire Forest” by Forrest Gander, and “Underside” by Jay Leeming, will be available for purchase in person at ACE and online (https://artcentereast.org/maingallery/#SHOP) beginning Friday, July 12 at 6:00 p.m. Tickets may be purchased throughout the exhibit and all proceeds benefit the ACE Gallery Program. The raffle winner will be announced after August 31, 2024.
The public is invited to attend a free closing reception on Friday, August 30, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Registration cancellations & transfers must be made through Art Center East at (541) 624-2800 48 hours or more before the class start time. We cannot issue refunds or transfers for cancellations received after the 48-hour cutoff. Exceptions will be considered for medical or family emergencies. ACE will honor a refund, minus a $10 administration fee when the cancellation is made 48 hours or more before class start date. When a class is canceled due to low enrollment, we will issue a refund for all registration fees. ACE will contact you in the event of a cancellation. Face coverings will be required in accordance with statewide regulations current at the time.
