Grief can be very lonely! The Art Grief Group – an alternative to traditional talk support groups – is a place where you can experience support and express yourself by making art together with others. Talking about grief in the group is supported, but not required, and any kind of loss is welcome here, whether you’ve lost a person, pet, relationship, ability, or something you never had. No art experience is necessary. Each session is built around a single art project; mediums include paints, pens, pencils, pastels, etc. Information on grief and grief resources will be shared at the beginning of each session. Making art together – in addition to or in lieu of verbalizing grief – builds the support and relational healing that can reduce suffering and stigma around grief. All supplies included. Please enter through the 5th Street door.
