November 6 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm A picture is worth a thousand words and your imagination is worth trillions! Explore creative writing and storytelling in this workshop, first examining images provided by the instructor and then developing the story that the pictures tell. We’ll look at the images as a group and as individuals.
November 18 from 10:00 - 11:00 am Join Meghan in the ACE galleries for monthly storytime! Children will listen to Meghan read, then gather downstairs in Studio A to do an art-making activity related to the story. Kids will leave with new friendships, art skills, and a new-found or renewed curiosity about books and reading!
November 20 from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm Try your hand at reading and writing poetry! This interactive workshop is designed for writers of all backgrounds. Students will explore poetry through written text, spoken word and collaborative workshop. Reading and writing poetry can serve as a creative outlet, therapeutic activity, and/or literary art. Registration cancellations & transfers must be made through Art Center East at (541) 624-2800 48 hours or more before the class start time. We cannot issue refunds or transfers for cancellations received after the 48-hour cutoff. Exceptions will be considered for medical or family emergencies. ACE will honor a refund, minus a $10 administration fee when the cancellation is made 48 hours or more before class start date. When a class is canceled due to low enrollment, we will issue a refund for all registration fees. ACE will contact you in the event of a cancellation. Face coverings will be required in accordance with statewide regulations current at the time.
