Color Magic for Textiles (Age 18+)

Increase the “wow” factor of your work with textiles! Become color savvy with your sewing, quilting, weaving, and more. This class will help you make the most of your textiles by learning to combine colors with confidence and purpose. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of color and will make a fabric color wheel sampler to use as a reference on future projects. Teaching Artist Linda says, “Color makes my work so much better and it can do the same for you!” Some sewing experience is helpful but not necessary. Teaching Artist Bio: Linda started learning about color in 1985. It seemed very complicated but she had high hopes that it would make her sewing better. She’s never stopped learning about it because she finds it so much fun. A color class she took as part of her undergraduate art degree was key in helping her learn how to make her art quilts dimensional.
Color Magic for Textiles – Supply List:
- Pair of sharp fabric scissors
- ½ yard of white, black, or gray solid-color fabric
- Small cutting ruler, rotary cutter, and mat, if you have them
- Notebook and pen

Registration cancellations & transfers must be made through Art Center East at (541) 624-2800 48 hours or more before the class start time. We cannot issue refunds or transfers for cancellations received after the 48-hour cutoff. Exceptions will be considered for medical or family emergencies. ACE will honor a refund, minus a $10 administration fee when the cancellation is made 48 hours or more before class start date. When a class is canceled due to low enrollment, we will issue a refund for all registration fees. ACE will contact you in the event of a cancellation. Face coverings will be required in accordance with statewide regulations current at the time.
