Finding Your Style: Intermediate Painting Techniques (Age 18+)

Join this fun class to learn techniques that will help you develop your own unique painting and drawing styles! Teaching Artist Hannah will guide you in choosing a sample piece from a selection of famous works, and then she’ll teach you how to paint a work of your own in the style of that piece. You’ll leave the class with a solid understanding of the painting techniques used to create the famous work and new knowledge about your own developing style. And you’ll take home the beautiful finished piece you created! All supplies included. Please enter through the 5th Street door.

Hannah Flower started her artistic career as a little girl by painting on the walls of her childhood home in Kimberly, Oregon. She was obsessed with faces from the very beginning and drew the people she met day to day. Hannah created on different surfaces including many of her mother’s books and any office supplies she could get her hands on. Hannah still draws faces, but has honed her practice, creating on wooden panels, canvases, and only occasionally a wall or two. She is now a mixed media artist, making surreal portraiture that she shares at fairs and venues across the country.
