Acrylic Painting for Beginners: Still Life Fun (Ages 10-14) FREE
March 22 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm
In this fun, hands-on painting class, students will dive into acrylic painting, starting with the basics! No art experience necessary. Teaching Artist Megan will guide students through all the steps, teaching them cool techniques to paint objects from a still life scene. Students’ skills and confidence will grow with every brushstroke – Megan makes learning to paint fun. Each student will take home their beautiful still life – and perhaps a new hobby! – at the end of class. All supplies included. Please enter through the 5th Street door.

Megan McGuinness is a contemporary acrylic painter and illustrator who loves working with bright colors and deep contrasts. Megan was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, but she has spent most of her adult life in Bend and Eastern Oregon. An archaeologist by day, Megan enjoys exploring new landscapes and learning about the larger world we live in. In her spare time, Megan loves cross-country skiing and hiking with her dog, Howdy.

Registration cancellations & transfers must be made through Art Center East at (541) 624-2800 48 hours or more before the class start time. We cannot issue refunds or transfers for cancellations received after the 48-hour cutoff. Exceptions will be considered for medical or family emergencies. ACE will honor a refund, minus a $10 administration fee when the cancellation is made 48 hours or more before class start date. When a class is canceled due to low enrollment, we will issue a refund for all registration fees. ACE will contact you in the event of a cancellation. Face coverings will be required in accordance with statewide regulations current at the time.
