Expand your ceramics skills and express yourself through clay! Build upon the basics of hand building and wheel-thrown projects. Teaching Artist Michael’s thorough teaching is set within the context of just having fun! This class is for ceramics enthusiasts whose skills are at or above an intermediate level, or who have taken a Beginning Ceramics class at ACE. All supplies included. Please enter through the 5th Street door.
Teaching Artist: Michael McVey
Michael McVey has 20 years of experience with ceramics. He moved to Oregon in 1997 and fell in love with the mountains. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Fine Arts from Eastern Oregon University. After moving to Baker City, he became involved with the art community there and taught ceramics for two years. Now living in La Grande, Michael is excited to teach ceramics again.
Cost: $160 Member / $192 Non-Member

Registration cancellations & transfers must be made through Art Center East at (541) 624-2800 48 hours or more before the class start time. We cannot issue refunds or transfers for cancellations received after the 48-hour cutoff. Exceptions will be considered for medical or family emergencies. ACE will honor a refund, minus a $10 administration fee when the cancellation is made 48 hours or more before class start date. When a class is canceled due to low enrollment, we will issue a refund for all registration fees. ACE will contact you in the event of a cancellation. Face coverings will be required in accordance with statewide regulations current at the time.
