This class is a follow up to the beginning watercolor class but is open to everyone. We will be painting bright California Poppies. You will learn how to use masking fluid in different ways, new brush techniques, and making handmade transfer paper. Bring your beginning watercolor kit additional supplies will be provided. After this class you will feel very comfortable joining us in the regular watercolor classes. Please enter through the 5th Street door.

Teaching Artist Bio: I have taught watercolor for a long time and love showing students fun ways to manipulate the water and paint. It is a great way to take time to express yourself.
Teaching Artist Required Supplies: For a Fee of $7 the instructor will provide or loan out the extra supplies not included in the Beginning $20 Kit.
**WATERCOLORS – Grumbacher Brand: Ultramarine Blue, Alizarin Crimson, Cadmium Orange, Thalo Yellow Green, Gamboge Hue
**BRUSHES – 1″ flat, Long Liner No.2, No. 10 round (about 1/4″ at the ferrule).
**MISC. – 1/4 sheet of 140# Arches cold press watercolor paper (11″ X 15′), Support board – to tape your paper to, Masking fluid, bar of soap, palette, roll of paper towels, an old hand towel, water container (an old cool whip container works good), masking tape, scissors, colored pen for tracing, pencil & eraser, any clean spray bottle, ruler.
Registration cancellations & transfers must be made through Art Center East at (541) 624-2800 48 hours or more before the class start time. We cannot issue refunds or transfers for cancellations received after the 48-hour cutoff. Exceptions will be considered for medical or family emergencies. ACE will honor a refund, minus a $10 administration fee when the cancellation is made 48 hours or more before class start date. When a class is canceled due to low enrollment, we will issue a refund for all registration fees. ACE will contact you in the event of a cancellation.
