Making Fantasy, Reality: Writing Fantastical Elements into Realistic Writing

In “Making Fantasy, Reality: Writing Fantastical Elements into Realistic Writing,” writers will learn how to add silly elements of fantasy into a realistic setting using prompts given by the instructor. At the end of the night, writers will leave with a new writing skill and ideas that will set a new love of creative writing in motion.
(Ages 16+)

Cost: $10 Member, $13 Non-member
Artist Bio: Ashley is a graduate of Eastern Oregon University with a Bachelor of Science in English/Writing and is currently working on her Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing at Eastern Oregon University. During her time at Eastern Oregon University, she has learned a lot about different writing styles and sub-genres that have sparked her interest. She has also had the chance to work on her writing with authors such as Sharma Shields, who inspired her to begin the journey of writing fantastical elements into realistic fiction.

Registration cancellations & transfers must be made through Art Center East at (541) 624-2800 48 hours or more before the class start time. We cannot issue refunds or transfers for cancellations received after the 48-hour cutoff. Exceptions will be considered for medical or family emergencies. ACE will honor a refund, minus a $10 administration fee when the cancellation is made 48 hours or more before class start date. When a class is canceled due to low enrollment, we will issue a refund for all registration fees. ACE will contact you in the event of a cancellation. Face coverings will be required in accordance with statewide regulations current at the time.
