Open Stained Glass Studio (Age 18+): Part 1 of 3

April 5, 12, & 19 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm

Sign up for this three-session open studio experience: it’s an opportunity for you to continue exploring the vibrant world of stained glass! During open studio time, you’ll work on your own project(s) and receive expert guidance and creative support from Teaching Artist Ginger. All essential equipment and supplies are provided, except glass; you may bring your own glass and/or purchase glass from ACE’s supply. Each student will receive their own copper foil and solder roll; the cost of these rolls is included in the class fee. You’ll take home your finished project(s) and, if ​you wish, your rolls of foil and copper for future artistic adventures – or for use in future ACE open glass studio opportunities! Students are required to have taken at least one Beginning Stained Glass class at ACE prior to signing up for this open studio. Teaching Artist: Ginger Moore

Ginger Moore is a retired preschool teacher who recently moved to La Grande. She has been practicing stained glass for nine years. Her favorite aspect about working with glass is seeking out intriguing colors, reimagining new designs, and placing the cut pieces together like a puzzle. Ginger says, “Stained glass is like a cross between putting together puzzles and coloring in coloring books.” Ginger enjoys gardening, crafting, and sewing as other pastimes.
