Alethea Brewer grew up in rural Wyoming, where she developed a deep love for the natural world. Though she started as a non-art major, a ceramics class in college sparked her passion for creating art, especially ceramics. Over the past eighteen years, Alethea has expanded her artistic practice to include printmaking, drawing, and painting. Her work blends two and three dimensions, mixing organic shapes with geometric ones, and combining art with function. Although Alethea initially wanted to teach college courses, she found her true calling in sharing art with students of all ages in her community. She’s now a studio potter and educator, enjoying the challenge of teaching students with a wide range of skills and ages.
