An event every week that begins at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, repeating until May 15, 2024

$5.00

May 8 & 15 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm

Join this fun workshop to explore photography in an informal setting! Being a part of a group practicing photography together – whatever your specific interests or skill levels are – will help you discover a fuller sense of what you’re trying to convey and how to achieve this. In this group, Teaching Artist John will focus the group on practicing our own artistic expression, taking feedback, and learning to see interest in the world around us — even though the world around us may seem mundane. You’ll practice photography together: going out to do some shooting exercises, taking away shooting assignments, and then sharing and discussing work as a group. You’ll also hopefully build and stay connected with a mutually supportive local group that will continue to inspire you as you develop! John encourages participants to work with a DSLR (digital single lens reflex) camera, if they have access to one, because of the level of creative control it offers. However, a DSLR is not required. Please provide your own camera, and if you have a laptop, please bring that as well. Please enter through the 5th Street door.
