Sourdough: Shaping and Inclusions (Age 18+)

April 26 from 9:00 – 11:30 am

Ready to take your sourdough skills to the next level? This 2.5-hour class is perfect for bakers who are already comfortable with starter care and have some experience mixing and baking classic artisan loaves. Erin will teach you two fun and important parts of the process: shaping your dough (including pre-shaping) and experimenting with yummy inclusions like seeds, dried fruit, herbs, and more. You’ll get plenty of hands-on time with Erin, so come ready to dive in and get floured up. At the end of class, you’ll head home with your beautifully-shaped sourdough loaves that are ready to proof, bake, and enjoy! All supplies included.

Erin Creech is a high school principal who runs a cottage sourdough bakery on the weekends. She enjoys sourdough because it combines her two passions: science and cooking. She has been baking sourdough for two years and currently bakes 30-50 loaves a week for customers throughout Union County.
