Suncatchers & Crystals (Age 18+)

Have you ever wondered what crystal work is? This class is a great first step into the realm of crystal and energy work! Teaching Artist Dawn will guide you in an exploration of the connection between scientific principles and the spiritual properties of crystals: they can help each of us tap into our best selves, live our lives with intention, and support our chakras. With Dawn’s help, you’ll design a crystal suncatcher that aligns with your intentions and goals. At the end of class, you’ll have gained a basic understanding of the ways in which crystals can help us achieve balance in our everyday lives when we remain present, intentional, and mindful of the joys that surround us when we take the time to notice. Teaching Artist: Dawn Guentert

Cost: $45 Member / $50 Non-Member

Dawn Guentert is retired from twenty-seven years in education. She spent the first seventeen years in the classroom teaching inquiry-based, hands-on science classes, and the last ten as an instructional coach and administrator. Her formal education is in biology and education. Dawn has always found spirituality and biology as complementary and parallel paths that intertwine poetically and in very beautiful ways. Her retirement years continue to be all about helping humans explore energy work through crystals, chakras, and nature, and gain an understanding of the ways in which science principles support these spiritual practices. Through energy work with others, she strengthens her own spiritual “muscles”, and she thoroughly enjoys being a tiny part of another’s journey.
