The 906 Garden (Ages 12-17)

May 6, 13, & 20 and June 3 from 3:30 – 5:30 pm

Come and build, plant, paint, and more at The 906! Spend time outdoors and make cool stuff in this class that’s open to anyone age 12-17 who would like to be a part of setting up The 906 Youth Resource Center Garden. Students will help plan the garden, plant seeds and starts, and build and paint raised beds. In addition, they’ll have the opportunity to create art for and about the garden and nature. No experience necessary. Art mediums include stick weaving, painting, cyanotype, and more. All supplies provided.

Teaching Artist: Becky Curry

Rebecca Curry is an artist and has a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. During her eight years in the mental health field, her main focus was group work, specifically using art and other activities to increase healthy coping. Art-making has been an essential part of her own grief and recovery work.

Parents/guardians of students age 18 or younger must fill out an ACE Youth Release Form. CLICK HERE to access the form.

Be sure to submit a Youth Release Form and RSVP only for your own children! Please add the name of each child who will be attending.

There are limited spots available for this class! If you RSVP and later find you’re unable to attend, please email ACE Programs Coordinator at [email protected] to cancel your RSVP. This helps ACE open up spots for other interested students. Thank you!

Registration cancellations & transfers must be made through Art Center East at (541) 624-2800 48 hours or more before the class start time. We cannot issue refunds or transfers for cancellations received after the 48-hour cutoff. Exceptions will be considered for medical or family emergencies. ACE will honor a refund, minus a $10 administration fee when the cancellation is made 48 hours or more before class start date. When a class is canceled due to low enrollment, we will issue a refund for all registration fees. ACE will contact you in the event of a cancellation. Face coverings will be required in accordance with statewide regulations current at the time.
