July 8 from 7:00 – 9:00 pm
Join Teaching Artists Meghan and Amanda for “Bat Night Out”: a fundraiser for the Wild Preschool, Wild School, and Teen Wild School programs! Enjoy iced elderberry tea or elderberry whiskey sours, learn how to make charcoal for drawing, and create inks from native plants. You’ll learn how to use value (the darkness or lightness of a color) to create an image of a bat. No drawing or painting experience necessary. You’ll also gain knowledge about our local bat populations and how bats connect to the ecosystem in our community. As the sun sets, we’ll see if any bats show up over Pete’s Pond to hunt for insects!
