Stellar Watercolor (Ages 10-16) FREE!

February 7 from 9:00 – 10:15 am

Art and science in one! Students will learn watercolor painting – starting with the basics – by painting outer space (with an abstract flavor) and learn all sorts of interesting facts about the universe at the same time. Galaxies, nebulae, black holes, planets: each class session features a different stellar object and new watercolor techniques! No painting experience necessary. Note: although each class builds on the previous one, this series is designed to be accessible to students who drop in once in a while, too! At the end of each class, students will take home a technique practice sheet, their watercolor interpretation of the stellar object discussed that day, and knowledge about watercolor painting and our vast, interesting universe. All supplies included. Please enter through the 5th Street door.
