Fresh and Fruity: Watercolor Painting Series – Pears (Age 15+)
February 20 from 6:00 – 9:00 pm
Join Teaching Artist Ruth for an evening of watercolor painting! This series of Fresh and Fruity classes gives you opportunities to learn the fundamentals of watercolor painting. No experience necessary. Ruth will guide you step by step, and at the end of the evening, you’ll take home your beautiful, juicy 7” x 7” watercolor painting. Pick your favorite fruit or register for all Fresh and Fruity sessions! All supplies included. Please enter through the 5th Street door.

Ruth Yeates holds a BS in Fine Arts (University of Oregon), a master’s degree in Art Education (Eastern Oregon University), and an Oregon Endorsement in Family and Consumer Studies in addition to Culinary Arts. She has worked as a graphic artist for more than 15 years and as an art teacher, FACs teacher, and Artist-in-Residence Coordinator for Eastern Oregon Regional Arts Council (Art Center East). She has enjoyed instructing over the years at ACE. Ruth started the Art Literacy program at Central School. She was also one of the board members who helped in the transformation of La Grande’s Carnegie Library into the art center that has been ACE since 2015. Ruth has experience in many art forms and media, particularly acrylic and watercolor painting. She has shown her work in many Oregon art galleries.
