Living Verses (Age 18+)

January 4, 11, 18, 25 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm

Join Teaching Artist Patrick and learn skills that foster an appreciation of nature through poetry! You’ll practice concentrating on the small aspects of nature, such as an individual animal or plant, species, or habitat type. Patrick will encourage you to explore by emphasizing the use of differing poetry styles, wording and visualization in order to help you expand your creativity. A notebook for your writing is provided, so all you’ll need to bring is your favorite writing utensil. At the end of this four-session class, you’ll have a greater appreciation and deeper understanding of poetry and language, and you’ll have composed a small collection of poems using your new writing and observation skills! Each registration cost includes a notebook. Please enter through the 5th Street door.
