Open Stained Glass Studio (Age 18+)
Open Stained Glass Studio (Age 18+)
January 8, 15, 22, & 30 from 12:00 – 3:00 pm
Sign up for this four-session open studio experience: it’s an opportunity for you to continue exploring the vibrant world of stained glass! During open studio time, you’ll work on your own project(s) and receive expert guidance and creative support from Teaching Artist Ginger. Essential equipment and supplies are provided with the exception of glass; you may bring your own glass and/or purchase glass from ACE’s supply. Each student receives their own copper foil and solder roll; the cost of these rolls is included in the class fee. You’ll take home your finished project(s) and, if you wish, your rolls of foil and copper for future artistic adventures – or for use in future ACE open glass studio opportunities! Students are required to have taken at least one Beginning Stained Glass class at ACE prior to signing up for this open studio. If you’ve had prior stained glass experience elsewhere, please email [email protected] to see if you’re eligible to sign up. Please enter through the 5th Street door.

Soldering and Ventilation: Some projects involve soldering and the use of flux and patina. Our studio uses general ventilation during soldering. We also provide personal protective equipment (PPE) and clear safety instructions.
Health Advisory: If you are pregnant, might be pregnant, or are breastfeeding, please consult your healthcare provider before registering to determine whether stained glass and soldering activities are appropriate for you. If you enroll, ask the instructor to seat you in the best‑ventilated area and feel free to request additional PPE. If you prefer to use lead‑free solder, please notify the ACE Learning Coordinator in advance via email at [email protected]. We’ll make every effort to accommodate your request.
