Open Studio Ceramics (Age 18+)

January 7, 14, 21, & 28 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm

Looking to improve your existing ceramics skills? Join other intermediate/advanced potters in this four-session open studio. You’ll have access to ACE’s wide inventory of ceramics supplies including (but not limited to) throwing wheels, a wide variety of handbuilding tools, and a selection of glazes and underglazes. Open studio is unstructured time; no ceramics instruction will be offered but a facilitator will be present for support and questions. ACE provides five pounds of Georgies Trailmix (white) clay at the first open studio session; additional clay is available for purchase as you go. The initial five pounds of clay are included in the price. In order to participate in this open studio, you must have taken at least one ceramics class through ACE. If you’ve had previous ceramics experience elsewhere, please contact ACE Learning Coordinator Sidney at [email protected] to see if you’re eligible to participate. If you plan on working on the wheel, prior experience with wheel throwing is expected. Please enter through the 5th Street door.
