Sunshine and Rainbows: Crystal Suncatchers (Ages 11 – 14) FREE!
February 15 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm
Join us for a fun and creative workshop where science and art come together! First you’ll learn about crystals—their unique qualities, the energy they give off, and how they can be used to bring more balance and positivity into daily life. Then Teaching Artist Dawn will guide you in designing and creating your very own crystal suncatcher that will bring light and color to any space you choose! Dawn’s enthusiasm for crystals and energy work (and her experience as an educator) make this a fun, meaningful, and creative workshop. Come ready to experiment and create, and depart with a beautiful reflection of your own energy and style! Please enter through the 5th Street door.

Dawn Guentert
Dawn Guentert worked in education for 27 years – 18 of those in a science classroom with middle school and high school students and nine as an instructional coach and principal with adults. Her primary focus was teaching through exploration and hands-on experiences so her students and staff learned by experimentation and taking risks. Dawn’s fundamental and most important purpose for working in education is to help others on their journeys (something that always helps her on her own journey). She says, “We are all teachers and we are all students, and there is something to learn in every interaction with each other.” Dawn now works with humans through energy work and crystals, helping others find ways to bring nature into their lives, homes, and work spaces so they may lead more harmonious and peaceful lives.
