This upbeat class helps homeschool students ages 6-15 explore their creativity and become confident performers. Participants will focus on character development, which prepares them for participation in community theater productions, while building important life skills such as focus, teamwork, and responsibility. They’ll leave prepared to express themselves thoughtfully, collaborate well with others, and step confidently into any role—on stage and in life! All supplies included.

Parents/guardians of youth age 17 or younger: if you haven’t already done so, CLICK HERE to fill out a Youth Release Form in order for your child to participate in ACE classes.

Rikki Jo Hickey is a theatre artist who has taught theatrical classes, workshops, and summer camps to people of all ages for more than 20 years. She is the owner/instructor at mNemosyne Studios (theatrical and performing arts classes) in downtown La Grande. Rikki holds an MFA in Theatre Direction from University of Hawai’i at Manoa and has studied theatre since she was five years old. She is excited to partner with Art Center East to help foster the performing arts in Eastern Oregon.
