Glass Open Exhibit
What To Expect
The Glass Open Exhibit is an open exhibit that will be held every two years at Art Center East in La Grande, Oregon. Artists working in any glass process (blown, fused, stained, cast, or mixed media with a majority glass component) are invited and encouraged to apply.
Important note: Entries must be substantially or wholly made from glass. Although we encourage a broad range of creative expression, we strongly discourage works whose primary function is drug paraphernalia.
Visitors (in person or online) may vote for the People’s Choice Award. The winning artwork will be announced at the closing reception on Friday, October 25.

Submission Guidelines
Eligibility:
• Open to artists ages 18+
• All submissions must be original works created by the submitting artist within the last three years
• Artists may submit a maximum of three (3) gallery-ready pieces
• All artwork must be for sale; NFS (Not For Sale) works will not be accepted
Mediums:
• We welcome and encourage stained, fused, blown, and sculpted glass submissions as well as mixed media and
jewelry.
Online Submission Form Deadline: Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 2:00 pm PDT
• Submissions must be completed online prior to artwork drop-off
• ACE will not accept incomplete forms or late entries
• Entry fee: $40.00 per artist (covers 1-3 submissions)
• Commission: 30% for ACE members; 40% for non-members. Your Art Center East membership must be current prior
to the purchase date of your artwork. Explore ACE annual memberships!
Art Center East reserves the right to decline artwork submissions. Decisions are final.

ARTWORK DROP-OFF AND DISPLAY REQUIREMENTS
Drop-off dates: August 20 - 30, 2025, during ACE business hours
• 2D pieces must be framed, wired or have appropriate fixtures for hanging.
• 3D works must be gallery-ready for pedestal display. ACE does not provide display accessories other than pedestals.
• Works heavier than 50 lbs or larger than 40″x40″ require prior approval from Gallery Director Jennifer Durr. Please
email [email protected].
• Mail your gallery-ready piece(s) to Art Center East, P.O. Box 541, La Grande, Oregon, 97850, with an August 20 - 30
delivery date. Please email the tracking number to Gallery Director Jennifer Durr at [email protected]. Artwork
mailed to ACE must be received between August 20 and August 30, 2025.
WHY ENTER?
• Gain Exposure – Show your work in a professional gallery setting with regional promotion.
• Sell Your Art – Artworks must be for sale. ACE retains a commission of 30% for ACE members and 40% for non members. Your Art Center East membership must be current prior to the purchase date of your artwork. Explore ACE annual memberships!
• Connect with a Creative Community – The exhibit is a celebration of glass artistry and a great opportunity to connect with fellow artists!
• People’s Choice Award: $100 – The winning artwork will be announced at the closing reception on October 25, 2025.

• Online submission period: May 1 - August 30 (Deadline: 2:00 pm PDT August 30)
• Artwork drop-off: August 1 - 30 during ACE business hours
• Exhibit dates: September 5 - October 25, 2025
• Opening reception: Friday, September 5, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm
• Closing reception and People’s Choice Award announcement: Friday, October 25, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm
• Artwork pickup: October 29 - November 1 during ACE business hours
