New Works by Sarah Bird

by Abigial Raasch / Friday, 28 January 2022 / Published in ACE in the Press, Sarah Bird - Press Releases

LA GRANDE, Oregon – Art Center East (ACE) is pleased to announce the exhibit opening of New Works by Sarah Bird in its Main Gallery showcasing the work of by local oil painter Sarah Bird. The community is invited to attend the exhibit’s free opening reception on Friday, February 4, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. During the reception, local cottage bakery Teahouse will offer a variety of whole-grain baked goods for purchase as well as a curated selection of loose-leaf teas for sampling. The exhibit will run February 4 through March 26, 2022.

Bird developed her own styles of techniques in oil painting after graduating in 2014 from New York-based Grand Central Atelier where she undertook a four-year intensive course of study in traditional realism and authentic classical art. New Works by Sarah Bird will showcase Bird’s oil paintings of traditional altar-like arrangements of natural objects set against cloth backgrounds and also her nontraditional landscape compositions of plants, leaves, and branches. Bird’s original oil paintings have been shown in Los Angeles, Massachusetts, New York, and Rhode Island. She is currently a Master of Fine Arts candidate at Sierra Nevada University.

There will be a closing reception for New Works by Sarah Bird on Friday, March 11, 2022, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. All are welcome at this free event.
