Sharon Askew’s artist statement: On a trip to Alaska, our ferry let us off at Skagway and my first stop was the closest quilt shop to find regional fabrics–the Rushin Tailor Quilt Shop didn’t disappoint me. This northern lights print was the perfect fabric to fussy cut each image for the modified BQ2 pattern by Maple Island Quilts.
