Katherine Jensen’s artist statement: Specific words in my chosen poems inspired me to create each of the two artworks. The words “purple clouds” and “leaves”. I was compelled by “what if ?” I used stencils & fabric paint to create the clouds, pears, and oranges on the fabric. And “what if? I used metallic foil on leather for the leaves.
