McKayla Rollins’ artist statement: McKayla has been a costume designer and props artist since her time at EOU. She started in the costume department in 2014 and has been building custom costumes and props for commission since that time, as well as doing restoration and repair work on personal costume libraries. 2022 was an incredibly difficult year for me. I was faced with some of the most challenging hardships of my life as well as opportunities that were seemingly insurmountable. This poem reminds us that we can still shine through whatever we encounter. Life finds, and shall find us unafraid.
