“My studio where I do almost all my work is situated on our family ranch on Happy Walrus Road near Summerville. I do all my work there from start to finish, including drawing, sketching, modeling, molding , fabricating, casting, and finishing in a variety of materials. I have the only privately owned and operated Art metal Casting foundry in Union County. In the continuing dialog about what is proper in Art, abstract or realistic, objective or non- objective, conceptual or concrete, one fact remains. As long as people have been making visual forms, people have wanted to see what has been made. The rest is pure hyperbolic nonsense. My current works represent developmental changes in forms that I have investigated in the past along with, I think, some interesting new ways to look at how things are conceived and put into context. The works in this exhibit represent developmental changes in forms that I have investigated in the past along with, I think, some interesting new ways to look at how things are conceived. My recent explorations deal with our perceptions of things, both real and implied, Recurrent themes and images prevail in much of my work. Of particular interest are vessel forms and surfaces gleaned from my observations of the structure of woodsy stuff. Enjoy!”
