Sharon shares, “I photographed Multnomah Falls in full autumn color on Halloween 2014 and, after a collage quilting class in 2023, decided it was the basis for designing this wall hanging in 2024. Painting with fabric deepened my color perceptive as well as an appreciation of the talent oil/water artists possess.”

“The Fall Before the Falls” – A Multnomah Indian chief’s daughter gave her life at the then dry cliff to save her tribe from a sickness that was killing everyone, and immediately after her death, all were healed. The falls were the Great Spirit’s affirmation to her father that she was taken to the land of the spirits.
