Become an Art Center East Volunteer

We are launching a new volunteer docent program! What is a docent? They are the smiling face that greets you when you walk through the doors and can offer basic information about "what's up" at Art Center East. It's a fun way to support the art center, learn more about local artists and cultural events, and meet new people.

Gallery docents: welcome visitors, give facility tours, share information about current exhibits in the Co-Op Gallery & Main Gallery as well as direct visitors to programming information or relevant staff members for further assistance. Docents represent Art Center East through their enthusiasm for community, art, or culture - or all of the above!

ACE Docents spend 2-hour volunteer shifts in the gallery (chair and table provided) interacting with visitors as they come in, and doing other simple volunteer projects at the docent station as needed. All necessary training is provided until you feel ready to start! ACE staff will always be present during docent shifts.
