Exhibit: Fragile Balance: Artworks by Kevin Boylan

Dates: May 1 - July 4

About: Kevin Boylan’s artwork has evolved from a foundation in ceramics to glass forms that play with color, intersecting line, and organic forms. His work draws inspiration from Northeast Oregon landscapes and his continual exploration of new techniques and mediums. Boylan has been working with art glass since the early 2000’s and he recently opened his own studio, Birddog Glass, in La Grande.

Co-op Gallery

The Art Center East Co-op Gallery features the work of non-juried community artists. As our “DIY” gallery, the Co-op Gallery gives local & regional artists the opportunity plan, hang, publicize their own show, host an opening reception, and sell their artwork. ACE is proud to offer this opportunity to any artist or group of artists 15-years of age or older, expanding our exhibit space and opening up exhibiting opportunities to a broader range of experience levels.

Artwork displayed in the Co-op Gallery show for 2 months and must be wall-mounted, as the floor space is used for movement classes. Past exhibits have included works by local painters, illustrators, and photographers, as well as installation works and group exhibits created for community-focused events and fundraisers.

Art Center East Galleries are open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm & Sat 12-4pm. All exhibits are free and open to the public.

About: Juxtaposition features the work of La Grande artists Jeremy Clark and Theresa Henderson. An artistic conversation between their primary mediums – charcoal and fluid acrylic – the exhibit invites visitors to consider how different modes of artistic expression influence each other and the viewer when placed side-by-side.
