Mary Horn
Board Member since February 14, 2023
Mary is a Financial Advisor with Centsable Wealth Management, and Creatrix of Rising Tide Soulpothecary. She graduated from Eastern Oregon University in 2011 with a Bachelors of Science in Business, and went on to earn her Masters of Business Administration in 2013.
Mary joins the ACE Board of Directors with almost a decade of non-profit board experience, and looks forward to using that experience to help ACE further its mission- to inspire, enrich, and interlace Eastern Oregon communities through creative expression. She lives in La Grande with her husband, Chris, and their dog, Sarge.
Berenice Chavez
Board member since September 29, 2021
Berenice is an Admissions Counselor and Social Media Coordinator at Eastern Oregon University. She graduated from Eastern Oregon University in 2019 with a Bachelors of Science in Art and Anthropology.
During her time at EOU, Berenice gravitated towards photography and worked for the university as an event photographer. Over the years her work has been featured at Art Center East in a group and solo exhibition.
Berenice joined the ACE Board of Directors to support the arts and her community.
George Maginnis
Board Member since February 7, 2023
A photography class in junior high was the catalyst that launched George's career in photography. He wore many hats over the years, including photo assistant, photographer, set builder, studio manager, and animal wrangler, to name a few.
He later took a sales position that allowed George to share his real-world knowledge and experience with others and to communicate clearly with people at all skill levels.
As a technical editor for Wiley & Sons publishing, George helped authors explain various photographic concepts and became an advocate for the reader of the many books he edited.
George worked as a color management and photographic workflow consultant and has extensive experience with large-format fine art inkjet printing.
As a recent transplant to La Grande, George joined the ACE Board of Directors to support the arts and get to know his new community.
Judson Keys
Board Member since February 19, 2024
Judson is a Wealth Management Banker at US Bank. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism (with an emphasis on video productions) from the University of Oregon School of Journalism.
Judson says the arts have been in his life for as long as he can remember. Starting with a statewide writing competition in sixth grade, progressing into working in film and television, and later creating programs with local community organizations — he did all this to share with others the medium that he loves.
He is excited to serve on the ACE board because art is so important to communities, and he wants to give his time and energy to support ACE’s mission.
