The Art Center East (ACE) Galleries include three exhibition spaces - The Main Gallery, The Orlaske Gallery, and The Gift Gallery - that make up the majority of the second floor within the ACE building, located at 1006 Penn Avenue, La Grande, Oregon in ​​a historic Carnegie Library. The three galleries offer valuable product exposure and revenue streams for local, artist-owned small businesses, helping to incubate a strong arts economy and contribute to the $1.2 million in economic activity generated by the arts culture sector in Northeast Oregon.

THE ART CENTER EAST MAIN & CO-OP GALLERIES

The Main & Orlaske Galleries are the only international fine art exhibit spaces in Union County. They are community-supported galleries funded by Art Center East memberships, private donors, and sponsors. Exhibiting artists of all mediums are juried by the gallery committee.

Each exhibition has a festive opening and closing reception is on display for approximately 1-2 months, and is free and open to the public. Exhibits can also be viewed online thanks to a partnership with John J. Howard Real Estate. Shop the current exhibition art here.

The Art Center East Gift Gallery

The Art Center East Gift Gallery offers a curated selection of fine art and functional handmade goods by over 40 local, regional, and international artists: greeting cards, original paintings, prints, blown and fused glass pieces, jewelry, ceramics, textiles and much more. The ACE Gift Gallery also carries a selection of curated Take & Make Art Kits. There is something for everyone and new inventory arrives monthly! 

 

The Gift Gallery is ACE’s hub of information sharing and community engagement. While visiting the ACE Gift Gallery, staff can help you register for ACE classes, answer questions, and by request, give a tour of the building.

The ACE Gift Gallery is open Wednesday-Friday from 12:00 - 5:00 pm & Saturday from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.
