Community Ensembles
At Art Center East (ACE), we believe every child and teen deserves access to the transformative power of the arts. The majority of ACE classes for youth under the age of 18 are offered free of charge through our Youth Arts Learning Fund. This program is designed to eliminate financial barriers to participation in arts classes, ensuring that young people in our community have the opportunity to explore their creativity, build confidence, and develop valuable skills.
While most of our youth programs are free, some new and pilot programs—such as our new after-school art program—have a participation fee as we work to assess interest and secure dedicated funding.
The Youth Arts Learning Fund is made possible through the generous support of the Avista Foundation, Autzen Foundation, Blue Mountain Bottled Water, Eastern Oregon University, Grande Ronde Med Spa, Gray Family Foundation, Haley Hines at Blue Summit Realty, JTMF Foundation, Koza Family Dental, La Grande School District, Miller Foundation, Nate Conklin at State Farm, Optimist International of La Grande, Soroptimist International of La Grande, Tanner Willson at Edward Jones, Walmart Foundation, and contributions from community members.
Offering free youth classes is part of ACE’s commitment to fostering a lifelong love of the arts in children and teens. Arts opportunities help them become creative, confident, and engaged members of their communities.
