Creative Drama (Ages 3-5)

January 5 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

FREE

January 5  from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm

This lively class involves children ages 3-5 in creative play that encourages growth and autonomy through theatrical fun! Parents/guardians and children will engage in a variety of activities and games based on American theatre educator Viola Spolin’s creative drama methodology that is designed to encourage expression and self-advocacy within a framework of fun. Using their imaginations and participating in teamwork-building activities, students will explore how their own bodies move through space, how their voices work for communication, and how they can make a variety of simple choices while exploring what they are capable of expressing with their bodies. This class is a great primer for children who have already shown an interest in theatre and/or other performing arts and is a wonderful introduction for all children learning to express themselves creatively. A parent or guardian must stay with their child for the duration of the class.
