Painting with Java: Harvest Moon

Join Jan to paint a beautiful harvest moon with java! Learn how to work with coffee on watercolor paper. This class teaches a great option for painting on the go. Beginning and experienced painters welcome. See the required supply list below. Please arrive 15 minutes early to set up your workstation. Please enter through the 5th Street door.

Artist Bio: After having painted in watercolors for years I have enjoyed painting with coffee! Coffee is very popular now so painting with it just seems to follow.
Cost: $40 Member / $50 Non-Member
Supply List
Bring the supply list to La Grande Paint & Glass and receive a 10% discount.
Paints:
- Coffee – bring fresh coffee from the can, not used grounds. About 1/3 cup.
Brushes:
- 1” or 1 ½” flat
- No. 10 round
- Long liner
Paper:
- 8 x 11 Arches 140# cold press watercolor paper
- Handmade transfer paper (Jan will have some to share)
Misc.:
- Support board
- Scissors
- Ruler
- Paper towels
- Old hand towel
- Pencil
- Eraser

Registration cancellations & transfers must be made through Art Center East at (541) 624-2800 48 hours or more before the class start time. We cannot issue refunds or transfers for cancellations received after the 48-hour cutoff. Exceptions will be considered for medical or family emergencies. ACE will honor a refund, minus a $10 administration fee when the cancellation is made 48 hours or more before class start date. When a class is canceled due to low enrollment, we will issue a refund for all registration fees. ACE will contact you in the event of a cancellation. Face coverings will be required in accordance with statewide regulations current at the time.
