Punch Needle Rug Hooking (Age 12+)

Learn the basics of Punch Needle Rug Hooking: fiber, basic stitch gauges, and all the Punch Needle possibilities! Join this class to explore the fiber arts in a new way, using yarn and fabric to create art. Learn the traditional Punch Needle craft and complete a small project. You will leave with a finished “mug rug” and gain the skills to work on larger projects. All supplies included. Parents or guardians are welcome, but not required, to stay with their child for the duration of the class. Please enter through the 5th Street door.
Teaching Artist: Una Walker
Una Walker is a fiber artist from La Grande, Oregon, whose fashion and artwork have been exhibited nationally to rave reviews. She is a sought-after fiber arts teacher and her classes range from beginning to advanced techniques in a variety of mediums. Una is a certified Oxford Punch Needle instructor.
Cost: $25 Member / $30 Non-Member

Registration cancellations & transfers must be made through Art Center East at (541) 624-2800 48 hours or more before the class start time. We cannot issue refunds or transfers for cancellations received after the 48-hour cutoff. Exceptions will be considered for medical or family emergencies. ACE will honor a refund, minus a $10 administration fee when the cancellation is made 48 hours or more before class start date. When a class is canceled due to low enrollment, we will issue a refund for all registration fees. ACE will contact you in the event of a cancellation. Face coverings will be required in accordance with statewide regulations current at the time.
