March 14 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm
This class seeks to celebrate the little things! Explore your spirituality and creativity by making small items that can foster hope, gratitude, and joy in your daily life. Teaching Artists Laura and Leah believe that when we center our lives around reflection and gratitude, we’re able to be fully present each day. You’ll create simple ceramic pins, pendants, and/or magnets in this class, with Laura and Leah providing spiritual creative writing prompts. Students’ own writing will guide their creation of the pins, pendants, and/or magnets. All supplies included. Please enter through the 5th Street door.
Teaching Artists: Leah Shannon and Laura Hudson
Leah Shannon is in her third year at the University of Cincinnati pursuing a fine arts major and a certificate in art teaching. Her practice centers around collage, drawing, and painting; she has experience painting shoes. She recently discovered an interest in ceramic arts and enjoys sculpting figurines. She leans toward creating abstract paintings and sculptures. Leah believes creation is a form of self-love that uses intuition and exploration to build confidence.
Laura Elly Hudson is a trained spiritual director, pastor, story coach, writer, and founder of Resilient Spirit, where she works with creatives, changemakers, and people who want to cultivate spiritual resilience to navigate change and transform obstacles into opportunities.
